Over 4,500 lights LED and HPS lights in Jakarta are switched and dimmed through powerline control according to special saving scenarios. Careful deployment plan and special filtering algorithm made it possible to combine both controlled and uncontrolled lights within a single power line. Old HPS lamps in the side streets are controlled individually together with dimmable LEDs in central avenues.

A comprehensive lighting control system was implemented in the city center of Jakarta. A total of 4,000 LED lighting poles were equipped with state-of-the-art technology to enable efficient management and control. The project involved the installation of 65 gateways and 3,750 PLC control nodes strategically placed throughout the area.

These gateways and control nodes serve as the foundation of the system, facilitating seamless communication and coordination among the LED lighting fixtures. With this intelligent infrastructure in place, the lighting in Jakarta's city center can be turned on, dimmed, and adjusted according to specific scenarios and energy-saving requirements.

Careful planning and deployment of the control nodes ensured the integration of both controlled and uncontrolled lights within a single power line network. This innovative approach allowed for individual control of older high-pressure sodium lamps in the side streets while simultaneously enabling the dimming capabilities of the LED lights on the central avenues.

As a result of this comprehensive system, Jakarta has achieved enhanced energy efficiency, reduced operational costs, and improved overall lighting quality. The combination of gateways, PLC control nodes, and LED lighting poles has transformed the city center into a well-lit and environmentally conscious urban environment.
